If the home office is only due to the pandemic, I would use a pair of good noise-cancelling headphones (amazingly, how well they can block out noise nowadays) and in half a year, I would enjoy the nice studio again because it is not cluttered.

I wanted that at first, but since I already have such a striking railing and anthracite-colored windows, that would be too much. A steel frame will be attached all around (except at the floor), and then a fixed glazing and a door will be installed.
Since walls and the ceiling always differ by a few centimeters vertically or horizontally, this loft construction would have become even more expensive because then every glass pane would have to be custom-made...

I'm also curious how it will look :p

I'm also working from home outside of the pandemic.

How about acoustic soundproof walls like those known from open-plan offices? You can also position them directly around the desk. If you ever have a non-home office job, it would be a shame to block off the open space now.

We have made a few meeting corners out of these walls. They are surprisingly well insulated.

Here are a few recent pictures of our construction project. The facade is finally finished now and the scaffolding is gone. Inside, the painting is just being completed and the tiling / plastering will start soon.

Very nice to see a broom finish plaster! Would you reveal what the extra charge for it was? I assume the windows, downpipes, etc. are not RAL7016 but a darker shade?

Broom stroke plaster is great. We did it too. We were very skeptical at first. Now we are totally happy.
