Our shell construction is almost complete, the topping-out ceremony is on Wednesday

This weekend we pulled the first cables...

The first boxes have been plastered (so far 43 out of about 200)

Parts of the framework have been installed

And I have started painting the basement rooms. We decided not to plaster the concrete walls, since they are just storage rooms (holes will be filled and the finishing touches are still missing)

So far we are ahead of schedule, had to start some trades earlier, so we are satisfied

A stomach virus knocked me out...

In the meantime, the bathrooms are almost finished!

Nice when the toilet is already installed

Even though there is a toilet paper roll next to it: unfortunately not yet functional. We used the roll to measure where the toilet paper holder should go.

Another important detail:

However, it is annoying that we ordered Sigma 70 actuator plates (Geberit) and that was certainly in consultation with the installer (he received the equity list before I ordered), but the flush tank is Omega from Geberit and now the two actuator plates do not fit. Since I ordered in April, I probably can't return the stuff anymore. I will try it on a goodwill basis – but I don't have much hope. Then we have to come to an agreement with the house builder. I am of the opinion: this was agreed upon, he should have either pointed out to us to order Omega actuator plates (according to him, the Sigma flush tank would not have fit) or now has to accept the actuator plates if we can't return them. The most annoying thing: the Omega actuator plates are downright ugly – the Sigma 70 looks great, clean, white glass. Omega is also available in white glass but with a stainless steel edge. We don't like it at all. But we'll have to swallow that.

So if anyone here can use one (or better two) Geberit Sigma 70 actuator plates in white glass – please get in touch. I have two to give away *grin*

Also, a shower connection bend and the bathtub faucet do not fit (despite prior consultation). Minor things, but annoying. Maybe I'm just so annoyed because otherwise everything is really running smoothly here – then you can hang yourself on such little things.

Guest bathroom shower is almost finished:

The tiles in the drain channel and the two LED strips on the sides are still missing, but at least this shower will be ready to use then!

The shower in the main bathroom is the one with the incorrect connection bend – on the far right is the connection for the handheld shower. Which, in my opinion, is already very far to the right. And the connection bend I ordered has a rosette with 95mm – but only a rosette with max. 80mm fits there if the LED strip is not to be covered. So reordered and now we just have to wait *hm*:

Finally, the shading has also been installed on the windows:

...after the heat wave is over, not quite as urgently needed anymore...

I don't think it's bad ..... A bidet probably doesn't fit in our space, looking for an alternative

do I have to consider anything?

What has also arrived: part of the gallery railing:

Fixing with raw steel – overall we like it, just a few details could have been better. For example, we find the golden screw heads on the raw steel really inappropriate (hopefully they can still be replaced). Also, that the screws at the bottom are not parallel to the foam in the base above (probably only noticeable if you enlarge the picture – but we are real nitpickers)
One part is still missing – it didn’t fit as it was and we did not accept it like that. It now has to be remade.

At the edges you can see the bonding quite clearly:

We were told that unfortunately this cannot be avoided with safety glass – it still doesn’t look nice.
I looked in our office today: yes, there it’s often like that at the corners too. So this seems to be true. We want to leave it without a handrail on top, so you can see it (otherwise it would disappear under the handrail).

Now we have to consider whether to accept it and get used to it or put a handrail on top after all. However, we kind of like the "infinity" feeling without a handrail. We actually don’t want a finishing piece on top.

And we have received pictures from the kitchen carpenter – our drawers are finished:

Starting Wednesday, the kitchen will be installed at our place and should be ready by Friday.
Next setback: unfortunately both countertops are delayed (and I’m totally furious because I’ve been telling the carpenter since April that we want to move in in July and now this!).
So we will have to live with an interim OSB solution on the island until the beginning of August (without a cooktop) and an equivalent interim solution on the kitchen wall unit until the end of August / beginning of September. That also means: no sink! I’m thinking of buying the cheapest sink at OBI for the time being and having it installed temporarily. Otherwise, for every sip of water, for every time rinsing out a cloth, we would have to go to the guest bathroom.

All the delays are of course really annoying, but I find your house wonderfully unique. Also when it comes to the furnishings.
