no, we didn’t want a saddled one because either the steps go all the way to the wall and then you eventually have a dirt edge there, or you have more distance and then everything falls through. Besides, we just like the look better with stringers.

Price... yeah yeah the price
a good 11 for downstairs with and upstairs without risers.

In what way better? Usability? Temperature stability?

Well, at least for the ovens there are exactly identical Neff and Siemens devices that differ only in the color of the plastic parts inside (Siemens blue, Neff wine red). My impression is rather that there are certain (standard) device lines that are identical in construction and then, depending on the brand, additional independent lines, such as the Studioline at Siemens. For us, it will be Miele (cooktop) and otherwise Studioline Siemens (for aesthetic reasons); for the oven we were also long with Neff with Slide&Hide, but fortunately we changed our minds in time, because after some thought we no longer understood what it was needed for. Quite the opposite, if something splashes on the glass, you push the gunk down into the garage. Yummy. In addition, the mechanism requires space that reduces the cooking chamber, which ultimately did not convince US anymore after initial enthusiasm.

So that the interior can be cleaned easily, when due to the height and the arm length it doesn't work with the flap open.

Nope, there is enough space – more than an occasional grease splatter doesn’t get in there anyway.

I find that strange and can't really imagine it to be compatible with sustainability if the openings are only cut out afterwards from the "solid" wall. How does the "inventor" justify this procedure?

In that case maybe just reach in from the side and not from the front over the door?!

How high do you usually install an oven and how short would the arms have to be so that you can no longer reach into the oven for cleaning? And is that really still a real problem with pyrolysis?

You wouldn't install an oven higher than chest height, would you? That would not only be unergonomic but also a safety hazard.

But everyone has to decide that for themselves. I only wrote that the marketing didn't convince me.

Probably depends on usage habits. I would rather prefer a side door if the length of the arms is an issue. Simpler mechanics, no loss of space in the cooking area, and easy to clean (even with short arms).
