From where to the middle? Upper or lower half?

It is a little more than half.

That is all correct so far, but since I come from a family that never had a car standing in the garage, it is more like our alternative basement. I don’t know it any other way. Apart from bicycles and my motorcycle, nothing drivable will probably ever go in there. Oh, and the door leads to the utility room.

Now that's an attitude. Hooray, hooray, hooray.

It's a simple 6x3m prefabricated garage. We got it ready-made for 6,000 euros. If you compare that to what a basement costs, it was an easy decision.
We "have" only one car, and that's my wife's company car. So it doesn't necessarily have to be parked in a garage. If I had an expensive, rare car or a convertible with a fabric roof, it would probably be different.

Your house (including the outdoor facilities) can truly be considered exemplary, that one can achieve something more beautiful in a simple basic shape than with a mishmash where you replicate a corner from every show house you look at.
