I can only confirm that the local carpenter is cheaper than branded goods in many areas.

Our bathroom is a Villeroy & Boch bathroom.
The washbasin cabinet alone (2* sinks, 4* drawers / 200cm wide) would have cost more than €2000 at Villeroy & Boch - without installation.

The carpenter did the entire bathroom for €2000 (wall cabinet / laundry box / 220cm mirror, 220cm washbasin cabinet with 4* drawers and soft closing.... including installation.)
In terms of quality, our bathroom is even a notch better than the ready-made goods.

Awesome sofa I am truly not a fan of petticoats and the like, but I really love the very simple furniture from the 50s with angled legs that the Danes are reviving. Sometimes I think about it when I see something on eBay. However, they usually smell old, so I refrain from buying.
