So, finally done. The last bit of the scaffolding was removed a few minutes ago. I am now proudly presenting our "naked" house.

@ Why didn’t you quickly install pigeon deterrents on the roof beams while the scaffolding was still up? Or am I just not seeing the device?

Maybe he likes pigeons or other birds.
;)

Is that really a big problem? In our rental house, we also have no wires against birds and zero problems. But maybe it also depends on the area.

Actually, we haven't given it any concrete thought. Visually, I don't like them at all. We'll wait and see if they become necessary. If necessary, we can still use a ladder to attach a pigeon deterrent.

I probably would have done the bird deterrent better while the scaffolding was still up! Now we have a lot of pellets lying at the bottom of the facade because a bird of prey has taken over our roof / rafter heads. On two sides there are large fields. Seems to be a good vantage point...

We had tried for three consecutive years to install a nest for our rental apartment Eichelhäher, and this summer it finally worked. They are beautiful animals, but they were not the best nest builders and they dropped a huge amount of branches. Therefore, I installed pigeon deterrent directly when building our house.
