...and finally... after 1 year of waiting and worrying, today the 1st floor including the ceiling slab is standing

The carpenters are a super well-coordinated team! We are totally satisfied with our own planning so far! Everything looks great, just like in Sweet Home 3D. I'll attach the plans again. What we don't like so much is that neighboring houses and the street are very close - and currently there is full view into the kitchen and living room (of course this will be planted over, curtains will be added, etc.). But of course, we were aware of this beforehand, and finding another plot would have cost us a few more years and several tens of thousands of euros here in the area... The topping-out ceremony is on Saturday, next week the windows and bricks will arrive.

We were finally in our dripstone cave as well. We had expected more water.
