As a former aluminum window manufacturer, I consider both to be myths. Different burglary resistance classes dominate the market segments of aluminum and plastic; your price example compares premium custom work with DIY store pallet goods. And there are no colors that do not exist (in glossy or matte). However, that cost us quite a bit as well, unlike other suppliers who say these eight shades, a ninth one does not exist at all or only at a deterrent price. By the way, our best-selling (about 20% share) was matte white.
