So honestly, I don’t want to miss it anymore, it’s a, let’s say rather gloomy July morning, I start in the morning from home with fully opened blinds, sit at work and the cloud cover breaks up, the sun bursts through and my blinds lower themselves, adjust the slats to a suitable angle (so that the view outside is still given, but maximum solar gain is kept outside) and in the afternoon I come into a pleasantly shaded house. Apart from the blinds, the control system for them only cost me 25€ each......and it stays bright and friendly but cool inside the house.......

Yes, for heat protection in summer, those things are of course great, that's exactly what I would like to have them for.

To actually control them all electrically at the same time, they first have to be linked to each other in some way

All can be operated from the inside with a crank. It’s quick and comfortable. If there had been an (affordable) electric solution, we probably would have done it. But you can’t have everything

Is the difference in "cold insulation" at night between roller shutters and window shutters even relevant with triple-glazed modern windows? Probably not, right?
