Just a question. Does the HP get enough air? It looks like you're taking the air away from it to breathe.

Yes, there are large air gaps around it (for example, diagonally at the back, at the bottom). It heats the house and the water – and I have the pleasant knowledge that I no longer burn oil. Without the side wall, it once had a "hiccup" in winter (something froze and made a loud rattling noise). Closing the side was the advice from our installer, who, according to his own statement, is still in the learning phase with heat pumps. I trust him, and so far it’s working.

Maybe you would regret it less if I told you that we wouldn't have done the project in this form if we had estimated the scope (time/costs) a bit more realistically. Perhaps our opinion would be different without Corona including construction cost increases and (un-) expected offspring.

But if you have enough money and the right company, I would always be in favor of renovating a farmstead. I just like the atmosphere.

Then I'll throw in my new terrace. I've created a separate thread for the construction.

Since my quote is also included in your post: I regret nothing. We have been able to fulfill a different dream. I believe I can see a great deal of successful individual realization. That makes me happy for you.

Hello,

looks very nice. Are there pictures that show a bit more – the entire garden area including the house?

Best regards
