I can't do anything with these bombastic things... really nothing at all. Although, the photo wallpaper turned out well ;)

Nice property and some money would rather give me this: Attention, google "Archdaily Window on the Lake / YH2".

I can see there is a secret kindred spirit at work. I feel exactly the same. That "block" in this nature – it somehow feels wrong. Of course, completely subjective.

I was already wondering: house and your bathroom don't match ;) colorful or multi-colored?

Seems to be the case - I definitely find your project very likeable and successful!

We also built compactly, but due to the slope, with a basement. Since we have a completely unobstructed prime 220° view on the ground floor, we designed the basement purely as a utility cellar and will "plant it away" during garden work. The house is accessed from the slope side. So despite an 8m height difference on the property, we are prepared for all adversities of old age (won’t take us too long anymore ;)).

The blue dot is us:

And we are also quite satisfied with our photo wallpaper:

The summer picture was taken about 50m east of our house, the winter picture from the living room. To the west you can see the valley along the image above, and from the slope-side/northern kitchen window I see the summit cross of the mountain lying behind us).

the black lines don't have to be put on your house,
otherwise you won't fit into the community and will be frowned upon in the church

You are almost right... in the core zone, half-timbering is mandatory. However, with black stripes we would really be looked at askance. I quote from the local design ordinance:

"For new buildings, the half-timbering must be limited to purely structural elements unless the reconstruction of a historical predecessor building is planned.
Artificial half-timbering made of boards is not permitted. For half-timbered houses, if necessary to improve thermal insulation, applied half-timbering can be approved on a case-by-case basis in order to keep the existing half-timber structure visible. The applied half-timbering must be constructed as log planks with a thickness of at least 5 cm. The infills must be bricked and plastered white. Instead of bricking, another plaster carrier (insulation mat or similar) can be used."

However, we are the first row of houses outside the core zone, where leniency is granted:

"For the design of building facades, the following materials are permitted: white plaster with a non-glossy surface, structural half-timbering with black woodwork and white plastered infills, cladding made of dark gray / anthracite-colored natural slate."

There are about 120 more points... so I really don’t know why people often get upset about development plans here
