We have the same problem here...on one side you have a nice shelf surface due to the cladding, on the other the mirror is set further back and you have to leave a gap because otherwise you won’t be able to open it again.

As Basti says... if I hang it higher, my wife needs a stool... if the frame is lower, the 25cm tile pattern will be ruined... it’s a flaw we can live with... the cabinet cost us €125 on eBay Kleinanzeigen - it might be done differently at some point
