Our place is finally starting to look like a house now. And the property also seems much bigger after the general contractor began clearing away his containers, remaining stones, etc.
Well, as far as I know, anything over 3m depth is no longer exempt from approval … and I wouldn’t like the posts in the lawn either …We are currently thinking about the terrace roof. We want to implement this as a louvered roof. Actually, we wanted to tackle this only after a few summers. Now our terrace slabs need to be glued, so it would be best to already fix the posts for the glass roof now in order to plan the post foundations there. Alternatively, the idea is to leave the terrace intact and set the posts just behind the terrace in the lawn. This would be the least stressful option. Unfortunately, there are hardly any example photos for this, so I wonder if there is a reason for that. However, I can't think of any cons except the more complicated lawn mowing. Are there forum members who have solved their terrace roofing this way? Could you perhaps show photos? That would help us a lot with the decision. For assessment: Our terrace will be 3.60m deep and relatively wide. The lawn area would be sufficiently large (about 14m to the property boundary.)

Then I would lay a small strip of gravel bed or similar between the terrace and the lawn. That looks cleaner.Alternatively, the idea is to leave the terrace intact and set the posts just behind the terrace in the lawn.
