There is still some kind of bitumen tape (or whatever, in any case a sticky black stuff) between the wall and the metal sheet. The metal sheet is therefore only the top layer, the sealing layer is behind it.

Andreas

At that point, you hit a slightly sore spot with me. This spot is one that I don't find perfect on our house. It does indeed look a bit disharmonious there, but no one could tell me how to do it better.
Therefore my note to the architect in the "What would we do better next time?" thread.
We tried shifting, enlarging, and reducing the window—all looked odd. Combined with a flat roof for the ledge, it was even worse. But we needed the ledge because otherwise the living room wouldn't be big enough.

However, we can live very well with it today...

Best regards,
Andreas

Except for my gripe (which the majority of viewers do not notice without a hint), the house turned out really well. Basdscho.

Really chic city villa. I am not a fan of plastered houses (I am from northern Germany) and I don’t like city villas either, but this looks really classy [emoji106]

So with us, the electrical work has started. Let's see, plumbing is also supposed to start this week.
