For example, I still had the veranda. Originally, it was probably open, then it was closed off with windows and a 12 cm low wall, and because that was a bit thin, it was lined on the inside with Styrofoam panels, behind which the mold had a joyous feast.
I then peeled off the Styrofoam, chipped off the moldy plaster, and a clay builder insulated from the inside with wood fiber boards and plastered with clay.
In the course of this, there were also new windows, which the aforementioned carpenter designed and also built. So they are not original, but in my opinion, they fit well with the style of the veranda.

I like old plans. CAD didn't exist or could the widow travel at that time? Ok, it may also be that there aren't any. The oldest plan found for the old house from Grandpa was from 1978. Before that, they probably just started working.

well, actually a house like this in Leipzig is completely out of place. And just look at the window orgies, even in the knee wall! But I have one more question right away: does anyone know what units of measurement these "Grads" on the plan are? They are definitely not meters...
