I wouldn't go that far. Some like it, others prefer more conservative gabled houses. Just because I don't like elaborate city villas with pomp and glory doesn't mean I am envious. So if someone sees it as clean and uninviting, they don't have to be envious, it's their opinion. They are not wrong either, it's just that aesthetes see it more positively.

Very nice house. May I ask what kind of windows these are (manufacturer and series)?

Well, then I would like to expand your worldview a bit. I did not express anything different, but I would definitely not be envious of the house. However, I can imagine that it is nice for other people. I like the walnut furniture, but I would never have chosen the same tiles everywhere. I also would not have planned the kitchen so much "in the way" as it looks to me in the photos. But that is really not something I am envious of. I could not sleep well in the house, partly because of the large amount of materials used for such a big house. I would not find that okay for myself. Being envious means that you want to be able to do or have something like this too. By that, you are attributing something to the readers or to me that I can definitely exclude for myself.

Nevertheless, I wish the owners much joy in the new house. It will surely look different again once it is really furnished and lived in.

A bit off-topic: Envy is one of the many feelings that bring no added value to anyone. So I don't know why I should be envious of anyone who perhaps builds a bigger house or has a higher income. I don't gain anything from it, don't become more "valuable" or anything like that. It only makes me personally worse if I don't grant someone else something because I develop bad feelings.
The house would immediately please my youngest son, the other two would prefer a Villa Kunterbunt. I like it, even if I probably wouldn't want to live like that.

I find this quite common interpretation of envy somewhat misguided. There is especially a much better word for it: resentment. Envy in the true sense, namely to envy someone for something, does not have to be so negative. It only means that you would also like to have something that the other person has or can do. Under certain circumstances, it even motivates you to try harder to achieve that as well. I think envy has a much worse reputation than it deserves. When I see someone with a house like that, I am indeed envious. But I neither wish for that person to lose it, nor do I think they don’t deserve it (at least in most cases), because normally I can’t even judge that. In the few cases where I know that the persons don’t deserve it (the few hundred super-rich, for example), it is more a sense of justice that kicks in for me rather than pure resentment. I don’t want them to simply lose their fortune; I wish it would be used for something good, for welfare, nature, and animal protection. Regarding the house itself: that is already cool, but how do you manage to keep it that way? Here it would be filled up within a week.

Hello,

I can already see that the house is perceived quite controversially.

The windows are custom-made by the carpenter. The aluminum profiles come from a company in the region (as do almost all other materials in the house). Otherwise, special solutions, such as the horizontal and vertical window bands (see photo of the exterior view) with aluminum panels, are difficult to implement.

Keeping things tidy is not that hard when you have a lot of storage and living space. We also have a minimalist lifestyle and do not like a cluttered environment with many elements, materials, and decorations. A simple and tidy environment and design unconsciously force you to maintain order, which usually works even with the children without any additional effort.

Best regards
