I am often surprised here by the difference made between the "previous life" and the "life in the house." Did you use to do Raclette? Well then - why not anymore all of a sudden?

It sounds a bit as if some people do not care at all about the "filthiness" of a rental apartment... I have always applied the same standards - or, on the contrary, was even more cautious, because you actually respect someone else's property more, while you can decide about your own...

I basically see it the same way. But maybe the "new and expensive" aspect of the new building plays a role?

Maybe some people just reject raclette only within their own four walls, but are happy to be invited to it? :-)

I think this is a classic effect for the first years in your own new building, just like every nail still hurts .. eventually, you just continue living in it normally ;)

Happy New Year still
Since Monday, father and I have been working on it, and so far it’s going quite well... we had a small setback over the island, the plumber has to adjust the pipes, I hope he manages that this week.

2 basic frameworks are already hanging, we still need to add a few hangers around one of them.

Cutting open the ceiling was quite a thing, but after the first cut it was forgotten.

Next week the ring will be glued on all of them and the LEDs installed. Then we’ll close up at the end of the week. I hope everything will be ready to move into in 15 days.
But I think it’s worth it and will be cool
1.2m diameter is really big
