Always these complainers... The perspective is distorted by the phone lens, it looks less bulky in reality.

We didn't want a flat roof there, our neighbors have one and we don't like it at all.

Regards,
Andreas

Hi,

not bad, good eye... There is indeed a spot that still needs to be reworked. It’s not crooked, but a wave in the plaster. That then looks crooked.

I don’t know of ridge stones for such a connection on plaster, how are they supposed to be watertight? You can’t avoid the wall flashing there. I would have also found it nicer if it had been a bit lower, but according to my expert, it is in accordance with the state of the art. If it were made smaller, they would no longer guarantee the watertightness.

Best regards,

Andreas

And how is the upper sheet metal then attached? Glued?

Right - I'm not a roofer and couldn't show you exactly how to do it more elegantly.

I wouldn't want a flat roof there either: I also prefer projections in the style of the house rather than them looking like they are protruding by accident.

Unfortunately not with adequate craftsmanship skills, so all I can do is complain.

Exactly that would be less noticeable if the small gap between the roof and the windowsill were not further divided by the sheet metal lying on the plaster.

Screwed through the bottom sheet. The wind manages to drive the rain up to the edge during strong storms. Depending on how your wall was constructed, the rain could get between the sheet and the plaster and then run down inside the wall... However, it is quite possible that, according to building technology, it is sufficient if the sheet is very, very high as it is here....
