By interior blinds, I would understand blinds that come down inside, meaning INSIDE the room.
That would be quite strange and especially have significant disadvantages for heat protection...

Because – at least if you choose the rounded version – the roller shutter box can be completely outside the structural wall shell. That might make some homeowners consider this originally "modernization variant" for new construction.

Our roller shutter box can also be accessed from the outside, but it is not mounted on top. It is an approximately 6-8 cm wide strip that can be unscrewed. How well this works with big problems I have no idea, but no one has to get inside.

Exactly! We are building a wooden house and our builder never recommended the external version to us. Aesthetically, I don’t really like them anyway (although on the miller’s house it really looks okay).
