Somehow, considering the costs I always read here for garages, additional construction costs, outdoor facilities, our developer price doesn’t seem so expensive anymore. Everything was included there and you had to pay everything immediately.

The fact is, a drip irrigation system is a must. And when I see how skilled some people here are in electronics, I assume that their horticultural skills are less developed, smile. So, desert or pay. Otherwise, they always say here too, don’t forget the [Baunebenkosten].

I see it the same way, there has to be pavement, entrance, terrace, level ground right at the beginning. Anyone can make a lawn themselves. I don’t want to be surrounded by a moonscape for 2-3 years; I might as well put the kids in the shower every day and rip out the parquet after a year. It’s already enough that there is no privacy screen – waiting for its growth (hedge) will be tedious enough. But we already live in a house with a tiny garden, we don’t want to make it worse, not for years.

So I have now included the paths in front of the house and the driveway as well as the fence in the calculation. The garden itself has to wait.

Phew, no crater landscape, please, no Euro pallets in front of the door ... Practically, it’s also civil engineering (splash protection strips, paving work), not gardening and landscaping. Creating the garden — that’s fun on its own.

I also think that driveway, entrance, and terrace should be finished. For simple plots, I would probably try to operate the mini excavator myself. But only because driving an excavator is cool. With a slope and such... Never. It must be included in the budget
