Exactly. That’s why it amuses me when people who otherwise pay attention to "organic" use ceramic with a wood look. Especially for them, such products should be as "transgenic" unwelcoming – if not more so than for me.

What is the royal Bavarian mayoral directive about: a tone from a list or a spectrum of tones for the roof or the windows, or "if gray, then roof and windows identical"?

For "absolute color tone matches" between different materials, one would have to define it by Pantone; with RAL this is not possible at all – the specification "similar" regarding RAL-based color designations of building materials is not without reason. So this has less to do with the variation within a production or even a single batch, and more with the different effect of the same color pigments on different surface qualities.

From shell construction finished + roof + windows?

After that came electrical work, floor insulation, screed, plaster on the walls (base plaster and fine plaster). Then a long drying phase.

Afterwards tilers and painters, alongside technology and "small stuff."

Then ceiling moldings and painter including room ceilings and drywall, with tilers in between.

They finished this week, the carpenter is currently building the stairs with wardrobe and window seat.

Paving stones are there for driveway and terrace.

Exterior plaster is planned for October, but we might already be inside by then.

So far it seemed quite logical to us ...[/QUOTE]

So, paving finished and compacted. What I like is the gutter with stone instead of a grate and how neatly they paved around the manhole cover - that wasn’t agreed upon and I hadn’t thought about it... And actually, the path to the front door was too wide for me.. but well, you can just park a bike there or something. Or maybe a planter will go there, we’ll see.

Hopefully, they will plank the terrace just as neatly. Still no bathroom photo, but next week the kitchen.

Thinking executors. Nice.

No, perfect.

You have no idea how much I’m especially happy about every aspect of your project where finally some solid cubes exist, as exhausting as you are with wavering over options or wanting to know which one would be absolutely the best of the best.

After some time, there is something to report from my side again.

Yesterday, our topping-out ceremony already took place, so the shell construction is now almost finished.

In the next few days/weeks, the roofer and the window guy are supposed to do their work.
