Sometimes it feels like some construction companies charge you for everything. When the screed worker comes, he installs an expansion joint at pretty much every door.

If I tell him that in one room 5mm less screed should be applied, he does it. And without additional costs. Why should he charge more? So that when measuring, he reads 65mm instead of 70mm?

These are simply planning matters that need to be considered early enough. If that is done, no additional costs arise. If someone wants more money for that, they first have to explain to me how the extra effort occurs. I won’t even start with the fact that less material is needed.

You always have that problem when changing floor coverings. Vinyl is simply at a disadvantage here due to its low thickness.

I have always assumed an increase, I did not think that I could simply set the planned screed thickness 5 mm lower.

It doesn't matter anyway, I will try. Still, it is simply the case that a corner in the door like [bei Karsten] is not really bothersome to me.

Until a visitor properly stumbles over it.
It simply does not belong in the new building.

Yes, I do understand you. But I am of the opinion that nobody will stumble there. What worries me more is how to design the transition from vinyl to tiles. I don't like such wide cover strips. But the expansion joints will also be in the doors. How is that best resolved?
