That's why I always say: always design house plans with a 10 cm buffer, not 3-4, those are not enough. You get really frustrated when the cabinet doesn't fit into the niche, or the kitchen [emoji4]

That is the only excuse that can be accepted.

The problem is rather that no one even asks whether the builder is willing to do it themselves or pay an extra charge.
They try to rush the whole house done in 3 days just to quickly get to the next construction site.
The end of the story: our electrician still has to come back again and again because he only did a botched job. Meanwhile, we have the electrician we trust do it.

So after two Saturdays of "schlitzen" I can say: yes, it is still being done. We have Poroton bricks and have made chases everywhere, as DIY following the electrician's instructions. The plaster will then be about 2cm thick with us.

This is what electrical work looks like with us. Everything has been chased.

Wrong, because if you hadn't done it, the electrician would probably have just installed it "flush in plaster".

We now have the third master electrician, all have made the same statement about it, even if they differed in other points...in many other new buildings in our circle of acquaintances it was also still done that way. And that was the question...is it still chased...yes, it still is. Although apparently not everywhere
