I see it the same way, smart home requires the entire package if anything, and then you're over 30k extra. Otherwise, a network connection is more than enough.

By the way, I sent the master carpenter a WhatsApp message. At that time, I hadn't yet seen the shifted post, but I did notice that they didn't finish the post heads as ordered. In response, we got an answer that helps us enormously, see for yourself:

I don't know either, I think he's a bit scatterbrained.
I just wrote it down on the preliminary acceptance report, and since I was at it, also that the post sticks out and one of them was dirty with some kind of adhesive stuff.
We're paying a hefty extra charge for this staircase; I actually don't want to accept it half-heartedly. There was already a bit of frustration because I was once told in an email that some components were "included in the price," but in the end, they weren't included after all. Of all things, we had chosen that part and then had to replan. The whole staircase thing turned out a bit unfortunate. Nevertheless, it is a very beautiful staircase.

Regarding Smart Home, I also thought about it for a long time and then came to the conclusion that it gives me no added value at all. And I work in the building automation industry.

There is no symmetry anyway, and 1cm is just 10mm. I would leave it. 1. In my opinion, it does not bother 2. It probably won’t get better in other areas if you start there. I also wouldn’t sand it down or cut it off. It would not be relevant to me either. Nice staircase, fits the country house style.
