Maximum utilization made sense when the feed-in tariff was higher than the purchase price. Those times have been over for a few years now. The energy surcharge to be paid makes maximum utilization even less attractive for private households. Economically, it makes sense to optimize the sizing for self-consumption and to complement it with energy storage. From an environmental perspective, it is worth considering compensating winter consumption through corresponding feed-in during the summer. However, this then affects economic viability (as in our case).
Our expected electricity demand is an "unknown," as we will change some lifestyle habits with the move and therefore have no experience yet. Additionally, we have already factored in that we will rely on electromobility for local transport in the near future.
The photovoltaic tiles are from Autarq. Ours are based on the Creaton Domino flat tile system. In addition, there is a hybrid inverter from Kostal, a large BYD battery box, and the connection to the heat pump water heater.
