Exactly, wooden sliding windows for the non-masochists. Plastic was out of the question for a wooden house. The wooden facade remains natural and is allowed to weather.
Currently, we are getting the insulation (blown-in cellulose). Very funny when the stuff comes back out somewhere, but the guys can also clean. Here’s a hole where the cellulose is blown in:
Also, today we received the glass... unfortunately, the window frames around it are still missing. We don’t really know what to do with the glass on the construction site now:
We’ll see...
The large, fixed window in the dormer for the air space was actually supposed to be installed this week (because the crane is leaving on Monday), but that’s not possible without a frame either. I’m curious how this will proceed.
And one more thing I don’t want to withhold from you: Our interim entrance door!
