Finally, the roof is on!
And the roofer has magically installed gutters etc.:

Actually, we should have had the windows by now, but the window manufacturer is currently experiencing extreme delivery difficulties for aluminum. Apparently, they are probably being shipped as well...

Tomorrow we have a coordinated appointment with the electrician, plumber, kitchen fitter, and interior carpenter. We will then discuss the last interior walls, the kitchen fitter and plumber can coordinate directly, and we will plan quite a bit with the electrician.

Wooden house with aluminum? Why no wooden windows?

If you have the necessary spare cash...
Wooden facade is still relatively easy to paint (or should it be silvered?)
Painting windows is only for masochists.

Exactly, wooden sliding windows for the non-masochists. Plastic was out of the question for a wooden house. The wooden facade remains natural and is allowed to weather.

Currently, we are getting the insulation (blown-in cellulose). Very funny when the stuff comes back out somewhere, but the guys can also clean. Here’s a hole where the cellulose is blown in:

Also, today we received the glass... unfortunately, the window frames around it are still missing. We don’t really know what to do with the glass on the construction site now:

We’ll see...
The large, fixed window in the dormer for the air space was actually supposed to be installed this week (because the crane is leaving on Monday), but that’s not possible without a frame either. I’m curious how this will proceed.

And one more thing I don’t want to withhold from you: Our interim entrance door!
A rarely beautiful specimen:

Well, tastes change over time, but honestly: who ever bought such an eyesore???
It definitely won’t get stolen!

Oh, it just needs to be repainted! Of course pink and the stripes in light green.
