ERR is often required to receive funding. However, I would also not use actuators that actively require electricity to maintain a position.

At least fail-safe open is probably the best alternative for the few circuits, e.g. [Bad], where people do not want to cool in summer. Better to have a few days of cooling with electricity on those devices than all the rest of the time.
