That somehow now seems even more German than the cliché :/

We will probably attach the number to the front of the mailbox since the house is a bit set back and the driveway corner adds a few more meters.

Perhaps I should add that I only received a letter a few weeks ago that criticized my house number as it was. But yes, I wouldn’t have expected such a positive notice now. But I am used to that. My first tax assessment was over 0.00 DM. The letter then cost one mark and ten pfennigs postage, the processing probably another mark (if not more), but the notice was properly issued and delivered. That’s how it should be in Germany.

We have integrated the house number into the concrete wall.
