Thanks! Yes, I love sloped roofs and actually find them super cozy, and I’m really looking forward to having my bed under the roof window.

I know that problem. My own garden book "Konsum" does the same to me. Now I would like to have a sunken garden and who knows what else. We’ll see. But we’re leaving space on one side of the house so that we can get through there with a mini excavator. That way we can still shape something later. Of course, it would be sensible to do so before we really get started.
Well, first we have to get finished (more) with the house.

Do the outdoor areas step by step, then you see how far you get and what you implement. But yes, the gardens are always too small when you are infected with the virus.

Regarding the second part: I have not read any answer to it yet. Either a fan for active support during screed drying even when absent. It's just strange that it is currently out of operation. Or it is already the prepared fan for conducting the airtightness test / blower door test. As the name suggests, the test is usually performed with a fan in the door but can also be done at other openings.

I would leave space anyway, you never know why you might want to go into the garden later. At my parents' place, part of the hedge had to go after 35 years when a new terrace was to be built. By the way, the original terrace was paved with concrete "bone stones"; I would be interested to know who in this forum still considers that acceptable ;) Fortunately, a sunken garden will probably become unnecessary for us by itself. The house is set out a bit anyway, and if I put the hedge on a small embankment on the other side, then we'll almost have our sunken garden. And on top, here is a little update from my construction site. Due to lack of windows and roof tiles, progress is slow right now, but at least the underlay membrane is now on, and thus the roof is reasonably watertight. In the next update, you will hopefully be able to admire two houses because the garden house is already standing in a handy package in the driveway. And my earth mound is slowly starting to bloom ;)

Build a pond in front of it, green the mound, create a great rock garden from it, and lay out a stream. If the remaining space in the garden is sufficient, I would include the mound or the rest that cannot be spread in the design.

I always consider that "acceptable". It depends on who you are sitting on the terrace with and not (only) what you are sitting on. My sister and her husband also paved one of their terraces like that, partly noticeably sunken after now about 20 years. But these are among the most beautiful gatherings celebrated there ;)
