The house reminds me of the type of coffee grinder ...

I learned the term "coffee grinder" in connection with house construction from you; I didn't know this designation before and now had time to research a bit about it. Thanks for the suggestion. I really like the association, and if I had known the term earlier, I could always have said right away how I wanted to build, because it is exactly what I like. And I would also have had less trouble asserting myself against consultants, salespeople, etc... they usually acted as if I wanted something completely absurd. The reference to a "classic" would certainly have been easier for them to accept. But now it stands as it is, and I like it more and more. :) Thank you very much again. :)

And, what a coincidence, I also greatly appreciate the music, clothing, hairstyles of those years.

There are only 62 days between the pictures. Pretty crazy.

We are currently working hard inside and outside so that we can finally get rid of the scaffolding (cost and appearance).
The house is being impregnated overall, the west and south sides will be glazed twice, the rest once, we still wanted to sand the rafters and boarding of the roof overhang (it’s very smooth). Then a wax will be applied and a finish on the end grain. Then we will install the sacrificial boards, window lintels, and window sills upstairs ourselves.

We decided on a light glaze tone.

The electrician starts on Monday, so we will have to work hard the next two days and over the weekend.

Then we install the sacrificial boards, window jambs, and window sills at the top.

Where do sacrificial boards go? They have become quite out of fashion by now (I still think the solution is good). All around the base or somewhere else as well?

The sacrifice boards are attached to the ridge purlin and also to the base purlins.

None are attached to the base, the house stands on the slab, which is 20 cm above the ground. Only a base insulation is applied there, and then it will be plastered (by us, sometime in 1000 years :D after the damn bitumen sheets we don't want to know anything more about the base or the slab.
