I applied the [Schweißbahn] myself in the basement and it is even neater than yours. It is intended to protect against rising moisture. As it looks, installation would consistently stop 10cm from the wall.

Since Friday we also have a front door and are totally smitten with it:



The nice craftsmen also quickly built us a comfortable entrance step – very chic, but temporary, because once the carport is paved, there will be no need for a step anymore.

Also, we had the BlowerDoor test on Friday and achieved a value of 0.44. If I am correctly informed, that is even below the requirement for a passive house.

So there is something under up to the wall, but somehow very loose/airy... I hope they finish the final waterproof membrane at the edge!

just insist on it! For us, it was required to go up 10-15cm at the edge, and our floor slab is higher than the surrounding terrain
