I also think the "carpet" in the entrance area is quite nice and am considering whether we should lay it on the platform aka entrance as well. Where did you get it from and how thick is it?

Hi, it's from a regional wallpaper and carpet store. It's sold by the meter, the back side is fully rubberized, and it's available in 1 and 2 m widths (this one is 2 m "deep," cut to the suitable size of approx. 150 cm). I estimate the thickness to be 6 to 7 mm (vinyl + impact sound insulation is just under 6 mm combined). I think the price is around 40-50€ per meter. I’d have to dig out the receipt if you want more precise info. Pictures of my entrance area will only be available in the next few days when it's completely finished. : Maybe then also of the finished bathroom

The wood will weather to a gray color properly. The original color will never come back. Oil once in spring or just let it turn gray. ==> own experience

As promised, but without homemade clouds. My house is big enough:

First night in the new house is just starting . Still very much a construction site, no lamps (only floor lamp), no sanitary facilities (but the porta-potty is still outside o_O) Tomorrow I'll get electricity if everything works out, next week a finished bathroom. In the meantime, I have to wash and shower at the office. On the plus side, I'm now always the first one on the construction site :D To get internet, I first had to find a working socket in the technical room. Fortunately, Innogy was already here today (electricity) and the photovoltaic system was also successfully put into operation. Controlled residential ventilation is running too, but pointless since the ducts (exhaust and supply air) do not yet lead outside

Showering and washing are overrated anyway o_O
Congratulations on your exciting night :D
It will (hopefully soon!) be no different for us, as we will also be moving into a construction site. For me, that even has its charm...... at least for a while....
