I also wanted to install it in the kitchen above the work surface, since we mostly avoided wall cabinets. In the hallway, I am also still considering using the system.

If you stand on the gray rails, I recommend the Dipper (2 lights in one lamp, adjustable, dimmable, LED) as Urail lamps. Unfortunately, they are no longer available in white, otherwise I would have them everywhere.

Thank you for the recommendation, and the price is quite something. I’m not into those disposable LED lamps at all. I actually wanted some where I can replace the light bulb.

With this system, the total cost of all components until it lights up is what makes it expensive. What you see here is an end feed 35€, rail 1m 17€, rail 2m 35€, 2 connectors 20€, and 4 lamps (from the sale) 108€. It adds up. The kitchen unit will then have 50cm more rail, 1 more connector, and one more lamp. Just for the kitchen, that's already 500€.

I can confirm. We have also installed a URail square with 2 m side length in the kitchen. With 6 spots (replaceable GU10 LEDs), you are overall not far from 500€...

The seating window is finished and we like it very much!

(Unfortunately a bit dark, because it was photographed against the light - after all, it is a south-facing window and still without shading)

Especially for Dr. Hix:

The seat board is divided once at the left window edge parallel to the side panel and drawer subdivision (doesn't look like it in the photo because it was taken from an angle above, but everything is aligned). A good solution, in our opinion, does not disturb the look at all. Maybe it would be a solution for you as well?

In addition, the first upper doors have now been installed – higher quality than in the basement:

Namely flush-mounted – that’s why all doors open into the gallery so that the flush look is visible where it matters:

We thought for a long time about whether to choose oak doors (like the floor) or white, and now we are very glad we decided on white. Oak would have been too much wood. The gallery would have "endured" it, but in the rooms it would have been overwhelming.

Today many of our lamps are arriving – especially the chandelier in the gallery. We are really excited!
