We'll take care of the guest room once we're living in it. It might be that part of it will also be whitewashed – we don't know yet.

There are also simply furniture in plain white or aluminum colors or something – but definitely nothing that looks like wood. When moving, it will first become a temporary storage room until we have calmly moved our stuff to wherever it ultimately belongs. And then we'll have an idea. I'm thinking more of very reduced, cool furniture in chrome/aluminum/white/black/glass. We'll see. It certainly won't be designer furniture – hello, it's a guest room, second office, and maybe a fitness room.

Yesterday at the construction site it was "No entry!" because the floors were oiled. We could only peek inside through the window:

Already looked good!

This morning we were allowed to go in again and admire the floor in all its glory:

It still smells quite strongly of the oil (based on the smell, linseed oil is included at least), but it looks really great! And walking barefoot on it is still a pleasure.

A metal locker? Totally retro-industrial style.

Not my thing at all. For vacationing in the Alps, yes. But I think it's cool if someone likes it and then sticks with it consistently!! #thumbsup

So, we are in the final stages. Many of the new furniture pieces are already assembled. Nevertheless, there is still quite a bit to do. Hanging lamps (inside and outside) KNX programming Silicone work Window sills Small things in the bathroom like towel holders, toilet brush, etc ... have made a list with almost 100 points. After that, we will move in. Hopefully the weekend after next.

8.7 KW in an energy saving ordinance house, do you want to suffocate? We have 5 and that is already more than enough.
