Slope on both sides from the house wall towards the garden. There is then an "edge" where both sides meet. Alternatively a wooden terrace? That doesn’t need a slope.

But the edge does slope away from the house. If the slope leads evenly away from the house, then so does the edge. I'm not building a tripping hazard. And you can pave "in one piece." I'm not a professional and so far I haven't paved but only laid wooden tiles, but this edge that is supposed to form with paving just doesn't make sense to me. Or we are talking past each other.

Edge is also not quite the right word. So... Example in simple terms: - right side of the house with terrace = slope from the wall to the garden to the right - upper side of the house with terrace = slope from the wall upwards As long as both sides do not connect to each other, everything is fine - where they meet, the upper part wants its slope upwards and the right part its slope to the right. Of course, it can be paved (there is no real edge either), but it must be planned properly.

Then I could have saved myself my great description after all.

hello,

And exactly how to plan that I don’t understand??

The only thing I can think of is to lay the slabs in the corner from the terrace to the corner of the house diagonally and then cut them diagonally in the middle, but whether that looks good ...?

A sketch or something for better understanding would be very much appreciated.

Regards Mat
