What exactly does maxime300 mean? Google suggests that it is a house type?

Maxime 300 from Viebrockhaus. You can take a look at the house floor plans there and then imagine the partition wall.

Hm, somehow I can't quite imagine that. But "Trennwand" already means a solid wall and not just a room divider, right?

In the floor plan we are currently favoring, the kitchen would be 12.65 sqm and rectangular in shape; it would be possible to enlarge it to almost 15 sqm by widening the house. Nevertheless, I'm not sure if that is enough to install a sufficiently large kitchen (it should be a "normal" L-shaped kitchen unit) and still have room for a small dining table with 4 seats...

We had a small kitchen of just over 12 sqm, slightly rectangular. The kitchen was set up on two sides - in an L-shape. In addition, there was a 160 cm table placed by the window that provided seating for 5 people (2x2 and one person at the head, if necessary). This still made the kitchen very usable and there was enough space available. However, it is no longer possible to place a cabinet or similar anywhere.

It always depends on the proportions of the room, the location of windows and doors, etc. A room of 2x6 m will hardly be usable with an L-shaped kitchen and a table for 4 people, while 3x4 m is more likely ... but both are 12 sqm. However, a functional kitchen can also be realized in 2x6 m.

And, in a 3x4 m room with doors in the middle on both 4 m sides will again be less usable than a 3x4 m room that has only one door on one of the 3 m sides.

And then there are very individual requirements for the kitchen, kitchen equipment, work surface, etc.

Understood? Square meter numbers say little to nothing in this context.

If you have trouble imagining it and can't apply it to your floor plan, why don't you post your [EG] floor plan here so we can take a look?
