I would hide the door in the kitchen as planned because I find it the most elegant solution. However, I would only take a 60 cm door (it just looks more elegant) and place a normal interior door towards the entrance (by the front door). Then you have the direct, short way to the kitchen with the groceries and can get the freezer through there. If the space is still not enough, you can always block the door. I don't know the exterior view, but another option would be to install an 80 cm wide window and slide the freezer through there.

The integration into the kitchen front is a nice and costly detail. Of course, there are 80s doors that do not sag (in a pinch, just put a roller underneath ). The entrance through the hallway is suitable to gain storage space in the kitchen because the door in the not exactly huge kitchen takes up a lot of space. As a detail, I suggest filling drinks and some basic foodstuffs from the pantry as Kanban and using them from the kitchen; then you also have an appealing logistics concept. For inspiration: I find "invisible doors" by Linvisible particularly ingenious.

Of course, I would also show our floor plan for discussion, but I don’t even know how it looks legally to show the complete plans online? I don’t want to get into any trouble with that.

So far, I haven’t really had the feeling that the kitchen is small or that there is a lack of storage space. The storage room is for kitchen appliances that you don’t use all the time, like the air fryer, cake storage, etc. Then there’s the vacuum cleaner, the freezer, also some tools that you occasionally need, the shopping baskets. We currently have a small storage room as well, and I think it’s great to keep these things out of sight. You can also quickly hide large boxes and birthday wrapping paper there when you have visitors. The wall to the pantry is variable, so it could still be moved. We don’t want a counter to sit at. For me, it’s simply an additional work surface there for chopping and baking cookies with the kids.

Thank you for the explanation of the usage. This makes it much easier. Removing the door would create considerable space for you to store the less frequently used appliances in the kitchen. For the rest (except for the [Tiefkühltruhe]), a storage room or a cabinet solution in a hallway is more practical – do you really want to always walk through the kitchen to get to the vacuum cleaner or to fetch some tools? The [Tiefkühltruhe] remains – a classic basement or garage appliance – as long as there is also some freezing space in the kitchen fridge.

So your solution would be to completely eliminate the pantry and use the space for the kitchen? That would be a huge room and the kitchen would certainly become insanely expensive as a result. I will think again about what exactly should go in there.

Look, another idea: This way you would have just as many tall cabinets as before (in the hallway for coats, vacuum cleaner, and stuff) and still have a great big kitchen. Cabinets on both sides of the kitchen counter, 120 cm deep. I would also widen the windows in the kitchen. That strange small indentation behind the windbreak door (only visible in 3D images) I would add to the hallway, so move the door.
