If anyone wants to see how to install a fully integrated standard dishwasher with an approximately 8cm strip on top (Stefan method), I have found the following videos:

Since I don't particularly like the large overhang of the door, I am considering installing the dishwasher with a two-part front with inserts. Does anyone have experience with this? Is there enough space below the dishwasher door for installing the relatively large plastic part?

Thank you for the video links. There he says the strip is 8 cm high and the cabinets are all set a bit higher than normal.

So far, only one person has mentioned ERSÄTTARE here. Therefore, I assume there are no major problems with the installation. The dishwasher is also set quite high until it touches the countertop. This creates more space at the bottom.

Hello forum,

thank you that there are like-minded people with this problem and who share it with us.
I specifically registered after the informative posts to get rid of my remaining uncertainty.
I didn’t want to open another thread.

I bought a Metod kitchen, only the dishwasher is missing.
After much back and forth thinking, it should now be a fully integrated one. I have chosen this one from Bosch sbv58n31
because I want a cutlery drawer and also a display (timeLight) and the price is OK for me.
Look in my gallery, there is a sketch of the kitchen.

Plinth 9cm (could still go down a few mm)
Bottom edge of the countertop 89.5cm
Front 80cm

Am I right if I leave the machine at 86.5cm and make the front flush with the others so that 3cm of the control panel protrudes? Because then the timeLight will also work.

Because I can’t find another machine with VarioHinge, timeLight and cutlery drawer.

Many thanks

update
I have now ordered and installed the S52N69X9EU from Neff, pictures in the gallery
I have screwed the machine up as high as the front allows for opening and the timeLight display to still be visible.
So I have 2.5cm to the bottom edge of the countertop.
On the door it does stick out the 2.5cm but that doesn’t bother me at all because the controls and display are from above (if you want to set something, you only open the door a few degrees anyway and look directly from above).

Without the forum I wouldn’t have known what to look out for at all

Morning,

that's exactly how it looks. There is a template for the drill holes in the front included, you just have to shift it to the actual measurement, drill - done.

Unfortunately, I don't have a picture of the opened dishwasher, with a nice panel under the countertop it doesn't even look makeshift, the 2.5 cm are not noticeable.

However, I didn't use the original plastic feet for mine, but steel feet (set to 12 cm) from the hardware store. The baseboard, cut from cover strips, is attached to them with magnets.
Therefore, my base is about 11 cm recessed to the back compared to the front. The panel height is 10 cm with a 12 cm base, it is not noticeable because no one lies on the floor to look at it, it gives space to the dishwasher door and a chance for the other appliances to have good air circulation, without grilles in the baseboard.

I bought a new kitchen from Ikea. The problem is that no mechanism (sliding mechanism) is sold separately. I have a Miele dishwasher that I set aside and bought a fully integrated AEG. IKEA explained to me that there is no sliding mechanism for this dishwasher but that I could buy it separately from the market: ERROR In the entire market there is no mechanism for the new kitchens from IKEA, only IKEA can provide this, which here in Greece where I live only accompanies IKEA dishwashers!!! Can someone please give me a solution??? ...otherwise IKEA forces me to buy an IKEA dishwasher which I DO NOT WANT!!! Is this mechanism available anywhere else? The technicians here in Greece say that I have to saw the door in two parts so that the door fully opens, otherwise the door hits the body of the dishwasher when opening!!! It is a shame that IKEA only sells the mechanism for their own dishwashers with the new kitchen models! Please help as I am desperate and cannot find a solution!

There are suitable dishwashers from Miele, AEG, Siemens, Bosch, Neff, but not all models fit.
In some cases, other dishwashers can be installed with ERSÄTTARE or XXL dishwashers with an overhang of the front.
