Kitchen price comparison - Fair or fantasy?

how do you come to that:

as well as regarding functionality (for example 2 ovens, one of which is a DGC, which alone costs >€1,000 online).

We have an Ikea kitchen and we have two ovens stacked on top of each other. Why shouldn’t that work with Ikea?

However, the appliances at Ikea really aren’t that great. But I would always provide those myself anyway.

Do I seriously have to explain why a 1,500€ Miele DGC has a functional advantage over the 500€ Ikea oven? Whether it's worth it to someone is a completely different question. For me it is, because the range of functions is significantly expanded.

Of course, you can also buy an Ikea kitchen and install these appliances, but then you are far from the 4,000€ budget that has been mentioned here all the time. I'm not saying that Ikea is bad (it definitely isn't), it's about the question of whether a kitchen for 20,000€ has added value compared to one for 4,000€, regardless of Ikea and the kitchen studio.

With Ikea, the only problem is that the individuality and the possibility to upgrade, for example, the fronts to a higher quality, is not given. That's why Ikea can at most cover the standard, those who want more have to go to the kitchen studio or carpenter.

You previously implied with your post that, for example, two ovens wouldn’t work with Ikea, which is simply not true.

And my answer only refers to that. I would also guess that a 1500 € Miele oven is probably better than a 500 € Ikea oven. Whether you need and actually use the functions is something everyone has to decide for themselves.

We saved somewhat on the kitchen fronts and countertops, but went all out on the electrical appliances and decent cabinet elements (pull-out pantry cabinet, almost exclusively pull-out cabinets, etc...). A Bora induction cooktop is really a fine thing. A built-in refrigerator with freezer compartment including automatic ice cube making is already something that others get a whole kitchen for. For that, the oven, microwave, and dishwasher were Neff. Neff ovens are always worth a look anyway, as they are probably the only ones? with retractable doors. A really great thing!

Oven at IKEA: I measured them inside during my construction phase (2013) because the sheets seemed so small to me: they are smaller inside. My colleague, who once worked at IKEA, explained it to me: poor insulation, which then has to be chosen thicker in order to be energy efficient.

No one claimed that... That’s why one should try to understand things in a forum as they are written and not make assumptions or overlook half of it. I wrote I don’t want a 4,000€ Ikea kitchen. Just as little as I want one from the kitchen studio for 4,000€...
