Well, the connecting rails do connect, but they still add some thickness, even with the Enastände with the sliding hinge, roughly in the range of 3-4 mm, if I remember correctly from last year in Norway.

Is there anyone from Lübeck or the surrounding area who can measure this?

Hello everyone,

if I understand correctly from the UK site, there is also an 80 cm high door. So no fronts would have to be joined together.

You don't necessarily have to cut out the plinth when installing the Miele dishwasher, even if the instructions say so. In our kitchen Faktum with about a 16.5 cm plinth, we installed an XXL machine and the 70 cm door fits, even though we were told otherwise in the store.

With the 80 cm door, you will probably have to cut out, but you could connect the door directly with the front. This works wonderfully easy with Miele.

Best regards

@Ikea expert,

so Siemens, specifically the model, I haven’t looked at it, but since BSH is a big family, I assume that Bosch, Siemens, NEFF, and Gaggenau, their derivative brands, share the same platform and also use the same names for the same hinges and other things. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be fun for the marketing guys to always come up with and establish new names.

Next time I visit the planet and associates or a kitchen studio, I’ll take a closer look at the hinge...

until then, I’m skeptical because I don’t have the measurement from the base to the lot fronts with Metod either.

@MissMarple

that’s exactly the clever thing about Metod, that you can finally cover the dishwasher so that there is no interruption in the horizontal line anymore. And that only works with these rails, which then add some thickness, but it’s only visible when opened, or the drawer fronts are jointed, but which hobby craftsman or kitchen installer does that on site with what effort, also in terms of time.

By the way, this solution for the dishwasher front for fully integrated non-IKEA dishwashers, Behjälplig, has apparently been removed from all IKEA sites (at least SE, NO, DK, and GB). Possibly this thing did not work as well as assumed or there were other reasons.
The solution with the folding hinge, ERSÄTTARE, is still listed on the websites.
I will go to IKEA next week and inquire about this.

At the beginning of April, a lot always changes in the assortment and some items disappear just for a few days. This has often been the case, for whatever reason. Of course, that doesn’t mean everything that’s gone will come back eventually.
