XXL dishwasher from Neff

OK, I have now discovered the VÄLGJORD. It was not available in our original kitchen planning. It will probably come down to this one.

I don't want to unsettle you, but I would NEVER buy a dishwasher from Ikea. There are too many negative reports about the Ikea devices, although they are actually made by brand manufacturers for Ikea and even have a 5-year warranty. However, there are always new models, and there would be a chance that they get better as well. Regarding the question about the Vario hinge: At BSH (Bosch Siemens Neff), ONLY the XXL devices generally have the Vario hinge. So if you want to install a BSH device in Metod, it MUST be an XXL device. I have now ordered the Siemens SX778D01TE, it is XXL with Vario hinge and has a cutlery drawer. Costs 800 euros. It is a bit more than the Ikea device, but it is worth it to me. Regards Sektionschef

Two more notes. 1) There are also non-XXL devices with variable hinges, but their max. front height is below 800 mm - so not suitable. 2) The minimum base height results from the minimum device height minus the maximum front height and usually does not have to be considered, because if the dimension is undercut, the machine will not fit under the countertop either. Siemens / Bosch / Neff: XXL with variable hinge, then there are no unsolvable problems.

That is simply and downright nonsense and even defamation. The appliances are all from Bauknecht and Electrolux, both highly renowned manufacturers. Almost all devices are identical to the corresponding "brand appliances," only with the Whirlpool logo. Even "cheap devices" can be bought without worry, and a correspondingly long warranty is seldom offered by other manufacturers. "I heard once," "a friend once read" – that really makes me mad. I am very, very critical, but electrical appliances can be bought blindly at IKEA.

A dishwasher with a big dent from the bargain corner has been running flawlessly for 10 years at my place, just like a refrigerator for 199.- at my friend’s.

Hello You can believe me, before buying my Ikea kitchen I thoroughly scoured the internet for customer opinions about Ikea's electrical appliances because at first I also planned to buy the electrical appliances directly from Ikea. I actually found numerous reports of disappointed buyers of Ikea dishwashers back then, even here in the forum there is quite a bit to read about it. However, the complaints are mainly about the dishwashers, there is little about the other Ikea electrical appliances. But that was already several years ago, so it is quite possible that the appliances have improved by now. I bought the induction cooktop and extractor hood myself from Ikea but never the dishwasher. I ordered an induction cooktop, fridge/freezer combo, and microwave for my new Ikea kitchen at Ikea.

Dishwasher: due to frequent complaints about Ikea devices on the internet, I’m choosing one from Siemens. It’s too uncertain for me to test myself whether the quality might actually be great. I already have Siemens and am very satisfied – so why change the brand? I also don’t want any additional special hinges like Behjälplig to attach the front.

I wanted an oven that has more features than Ikea’s, and I’ll choose a fancier and quieter hood than Ikea’s. I’m not getting the sink from Ikea either, since I bought the same one we already have. But that’s no longer relevant to the topic, pardon.

We originally also wanted to buy this appliance and were therefore glad not to have to worry about mounting the fronts... And then I took a look at the appliance. Visually, I didn't like the dishwasher at all. The workmanship of the cutlery drawer is simply bad. I was used to "more" from my 6-year-old Bosch dishwasher.

That's why we had to deal with the topic after all
Out of all the statements and reports, also here in the forum, I was totally overwhelmed.
In the end, it became the Siemens dishwasher. (See sektionschef)
We are very satisfied with the appliance, the installation of the one-piece front was simple, and the result is visually flawless. See also in my gallery.
