Then you simply put the corner window upstairs in the bedroom - it stands out more there anyway... Windows of that size are chosen there anyway.

Edit: Bedroom window facing south -> definitely install shutters, otherwise it will get warm!

We have a very similar floor plan. However, the exterior dimensions are 9.5m x 10m. If you like, I can gladly upload a few photos to show how things look. I was also worried about the hallway, but with a side panel at the front door, a window in the stairway, and a glass door to the living area, it is not too dark.

Roller shutters are of course installed, we have had bedrooms facing south before, actually it was a no-go for the house.

I am considering whether we should perhaps go to the kitchen studio to have plans made with and without a pantry. To get a better idea.

Very gladly! We want to extend the exterior dimension on the shorter side to 9 m, no idea if that can already bring an improvement, but as it is, it is quite narrow.

I would leave that. Changes in heights are connected to that, and the dimensions are perfectly fine as they are, it just "sounds" narrow - I suspect this is your first house?

We have a similar floor plan of 11.5*8m, but with a basement. Where you have planned the pantry, we still have an office, and yet the kitchen-living-dining area is large enough. So I would also extend the pantry to the full length. Somewhere I once saw a kitchen cabinet turned into a door. Maybe that could be an option here as well (and then another proper door to the pantry from the hallway). With the corner window, I would have concerns anyway that it wouldn’t really stand out under the carport.
