That is not a criterion either!

hello, first of all thanks for the numerous responses. 1. we have decided against a storage room because we store drinks in the basement, all other food should go in the kitchen. we will install a central vacuum cleaner in the basement, the system should be such that the suction hose disappears into the wall. honestly, we haven’t really thought about cleaning supplies yet, they might find a place in a cabinet at the wardrobe. 2. I will think about the dressing room again, we would just like to have 2 wardrobes so that each has their own. 3. in the basement there will be a large hobby room, one storage room and the room for technology, washing machine, etc. 4. regarding the stairs and the kitchen, I agree with you, I will try to get the stairs to 2.16m wide, 2.25m probably won’t work because then I lose too much width in the living room and guest room/office. I would like the kitchen to be 3.60m wide, I think that will work better (row 60, distance to island each 1m, island 1m) 5. we have decided against a children’s bathroom 1. because of the costs 2. otherwise we would have 3 bathrooms on the ground floor, which already has a shower. 6. what I don’t quite understand are the comments about the living-dining area. the length will be 9.50m and the width 4.45m I actually thought that a width of 4.45m is wide enough so that it doesn’t become so tube-like, or exactly what bothers you about it? for furnishing we thought of a living room wall on the wall towards the stairs, plus a corner sofa about 3-3.20m wide (we often have many guests) and in the dining area a table for at least 6 people, in my opinion there isn’t much space left between the sofa and dining table, right? it shouldn’t all feel too cramped. about the roof you are of course right, it will be a tent roof. I also don’t like the windows yet, I think they don’t look very modern.

I think the living/dining area isn't really narrow. But with a table for 6 people (here I would calculate with a 2m table +1m on each side for passage, so a total of 4m) and a 3.2m couch, there is still about 2.3 meters of empty space left. What are you going to do with it? ;) Just draw it to scale in the floor plan. A furnished floor plan really helps (furnished the way you want it, not the way the architect imagines it).

Regarding the dressing room: you can just put 2 wardrobes there, I don't see the problem.

I have marked both as I think it is planned on the ground floor and how I mean it with the walk-in closet on the upper floor. However, I would make the door to the bedroom open into the bedroom. On the upper floor, I have also already widened the stairs a bit.

Is it a problem to make the house, for example, 30cm wider and 50cm narrower?

Our floor plan on the ground floor is built very similarly (the "room" on the ground floor is just the utility room for us). Therefore, I quite like your floor plan :D. We also have this long living-dining area and will furnish it the same way as in the ground floor plan in post #10. I don't mind that there is a bit of empty space left in the middle, quite the opposite. However, our house is a bit smaller, so the dimensions of the living-dining area for us are 9.51 x 4.01 m, but the pure living area up to the door is "only" 3.87 m long (over 1 m less than yours). Since we will also place sideboards/display cabinets or similar in the living-dining area against the wall, the dining table will move even more into the room with us, and thus the empty space will be even less.

I think it's good that this "issue" is addressed here, but ultimately personal taste decides, and if you like it... then do it that way. As I said, we will also build it like that and don't find it bad at all :). If you want, take a look at my thread; I have also posted our floor plans there.

The staircase, however, could become a bit narrow with a total width of 2.01 m. Our staircase will be 2.26 m wide.

We will also realize the access to the bedroom via the dressing room, also built roughly like in the furnished upper floor plan in #10.
