So we basically live on the opposite side of the slope, we have precast concrete parts, neither the architect nor the shell builder wanted to do masonry. At the neighbor's opposite, the masonry basement wall was slightly pushed in during compaction, plaster cracked, etc... in the long run, you are on the safe side with concrete, whether with or without waterproofing... I definitely wouldn't want to save money there and am glad to have made the choice.

I smell a fundamental discussion...

...I will add "WU concrete is not the same as a white tank" ...

I would actually be interested in arguments for the masonry cellar
The mentioned arguments for the WU cellar currently speak for themselves.

Arguments for the masonry basement are only the costs. But that's the case with all things in the house, somewhere you have to (or not) make compromises. Wood-aluminum windows are better than plastic, sand-lime brick + clinker is better than ETICS or Poroton, a flat roof with plastic waterproofing and green roof is better than bitumen sheeting. More expensive is usually better...

but especially with such basics, I would think more about safety than about costs.

Of course, they are basics. But a white bathtub is also demanding in execution. If it's botched, you quickly have problems. And how long does the construction company guarantee the basement? Do you think if there are no problems with groundwater, etc., it has to be a concrete basement? What speaks against a masonry one with, for example, [K-Wanne]? Advantage: simple execution, cheaper, possibly no additional insulation necessary..? Or am I wrong? I myself am facing the choice and am undecided.
