Looking for a low-maintenance terrace in a new building with a child

Well, after the terrace there are only about 8 meters of garden left. Typical new build in the big city, really. And of course we didn’t want to give up the last bit of green Either way, I would prefer more naturally

We know that problem too. Do you have a height difference between the terrace and garden? Then I would also find 3.20m somewhat problematic (table + chairs on both sides, then hardly anyone can walk behind the row of chairs towards the garden without leaving the terrace ...). But we didn’t choose much more depth either, only 30cm more ;-)

No, the terrace and garden are fortunately at the same height. Only at the end of the garden does it go up about 20 cm. Either as a slope or with an L-shaped stone, we do not know yet.

We have 3cm plates (80x40) lying in the split bed.

Yes, I have now become aware of that as well. Large concrete slabs can quickly weigh 100 kg :eek:.
