I’m not in the mood for five more posts about this ... 5 of my acquaintances are building in Bavaria, partly on village roads, all asked and looked at the offers they had obtained: 32dB, installation according to ArdT I could tell you the structure of the pane, but I would have to look it up and actually I’m not really in the mood for that ... I looked it all up back then ... if it’s not like that for you, be happy, those for whom it is different should just pay attention. End. I just wanted to give tips here and also have another purpose in life than the house construction forum

Who knows what information the acquaintances received or what kind of cheapest crap they are installing ;-).
Otherwise, laboratory values of 32dB for new windows are not possible if the panes alone are already rated at 36dB...

I just googled out of interest. I found basically identical figures at Veka, Gealan and Schüco. No windows with 32dB, all better. As I said, there are adjustments for certain noise spectra (e.g. Ctr for propeller aircraft, jet aircraft at a large distance, disco music, etc., or C for playing children, jet aircraft at close distance, highway traffic over 80 km/h, etc.).
You can construct great values there, but when you compare apples to oranges, interesting results and statements come out.

Ok so because you are so annoying ...(-:

UNIGLAS® TOP A 1.0 Z are our panes 4/16/4 : 32 dB is stated in the brochure.

and these are now used by many manufacturers in our region ....

if the frame is better than 32 dB what use is that to me? Should I now calculate a mixture? The larger the window and the greater the pane proportion, the more likely I am to reach exactly 32 dB?!

However, the pane otherwise has really poor values for C/Ctr – it is the simplest possible variant. No wonder it sounds loud at your place (and your acquaintances). Probably with a cheap frame without MD and then it fits...
By the way, Uniglas consistently has poor values. No matter which glass.

That's what happens when you don't take triple glazing or save ;) . No offense.

Sorry, I obviously made a mistake ... I looked at the brochure under double-glazed ... We of course have

UNIGLAS® TOP PURE A 0.5 P

but these also have 32 dB. By the way, these are not cheap windows from Poland (caution: generalization) but windows from a local carpentry shop ....

As I said, at the time we were not aware that we should have checked that ...

We had the glass replaced, now it's fine ... but the money could have been invested differently ...

What is MD?
