Normally, your problem arises because the hinges are not properly adjusted.

They have a set screw (Phillips) with which the distance between the T-plate (mounting on the cabinet) and the hinge is adjusted. If this is not correct, the door will not close because it is, so to speak, springing back.

Please check this by simply turning the screws a little and see if it gets better.

That is correct regarding the adjustment screws. I tried adjusting both of the screws, but unfortunately that also does not work satisfactorily. I can adjust it so that the gap between the door and the side wall becomes smaller, but this causes the gap to the door of the adjacent cabinet to widen. That looks even worse, since I look at it from the front and the gaps between doors should be equal from door to door.

I also strongly assume that something still needs to be added there, like a cover plate or something. With a cover plate of 37cm, the gap would be closed and it would look like on the other side. What surprises me, however, is that in the planning they do take into account that, for example, with a corner cabinet (120x60), there must still be a spacer of at least 3-4cm between it and the next one so that you can open the drawers. I checked again in all the Ikea documents, unfortunately nothing is available, except for a cover plate for the base cabinet, but I don’t need one of those. Maybe the person handling it simply confused it, bottom instead of top.

Hello,

You can use a 40 cm door from your front as a cover panel.
We did the same and it looks good! (no more gap)

Best regards
Andrea

Hello

mh hinge - we made sure that they are correct. All "normal" cabinets are identical, the corner upper and corner base cabinet (just like the display cabinets) have different hinges.

Regards
