Our house now has shutters!

The shutters are wonderful and fit very well with your inviting-looking house. Sometimes I imagine that not all shadows are the same. I prefer the shade of trees to the shade of a parasol, and I also find the shade from wooden shutters more pleasant than the shade from roller shutters - I lack experience to compare with venetian blinds, as I mostly know them from offices.

The black and white faction then has better blinds, one click and everything goes down, which is also practical. However, you always have to be careful with wind, and here on the hill where we live, that would have made little sense.

From my experience with rail-guided blinds without a wind sensor in a residential area where even the sturdiest garden umbrella bends because it’s so windy, I can only say for us, we don’t need a wind sensor. If you use common sense and don’t leave the blinds down or, even worse, open during a forecasted storm, nothing is prone to wind damage. A neighbor once forgot to raise his blinds during a forecasted storm, the only thing that happened was that the slats had to be manually repositioned. Nothing more. Otherwise, wind or thunderstorms do no harm to the blinds.

Who says that roller shutters have to be completely closed? :) Shutters just have to match the house.
