So. So there is still much to discuss. Due to the current stair position, there is quite a lot of freedom in the floor plan design. I actually have no idea where to put windows so that it looks coherent. Currently, we could imagine having the basement not 1m above ground but either completely underground or allowing 30-50cm + 20cm ceiling to be visible in order to at least have small windows without light shafts to the outside. The 50-70cm corresponds to only 3-4 steps. If we save the living height (i.e., 25cm lower), we would only be 25-45cm deeper and probably wouldn't save much (through being shallower and no heating) because of excavation and disposal costs. I took stairs from the catalog. The landing is always at the bottom of the plan. The entire stair is drawn in the basement. For the other stairs, the entry and exit of the floor are shown. The yellow areas at the landing symbolize how far back the stairs can be pulled. The limiting factor is the ceiling/roof height at the stairs to the attic. I currently think that over 2m is maintained everywhere there. EDIT: we can do without the additional basement entrance. The routes through the house are comparable. EDIT2: in the bathroom on the ground floor, we still actually need a standing toilet (4 men in the house). If the stairs in the attic can be pulled down further, that would make the bathroom in the attic a bit cozier. The wall at the stairs can be replaced by a railing if it is not a concrete staircase. Visually, we quite like it, though. Combined with a massive concrete staircase or a rustic wooden staircase, that would be stylish. Windows are still missing in the stairwell!
