That's how it is. Right now, EVERY house here is being built with anthracite 7016 windows and matching roofs. You don't see anything else anymore. But in the past, everything was Mercedes silver...

Trends and stuff..

No one is being attacked here just for having an opinion.
However: one can point out snobbish outliers as well as narrow-mindedness.

Maybe you find it lousy when someone like me posts columns as discussion topics here. Then feel free to just pass by without responding.
By the way, I am a true fan of floor-to-ceiling windows. For me, everyone may build however they like, but please don’t put the neighbors down.

Snobbish permanent states, therefore just a note to you.

I personally like floor-to-ceiling windows, but not everywhere and not exclusively. In our case (bungalow construction), floor-to-ceiling windows will probably be installed in the living room (and there only in the bay window) and possibly (but frosted) two narrow, floor-to-ceiling windows on both sides of the front door. We don’t need or want more, since, for example, on the back side of the house, the neighbors’ terrace directly faces our bungalow and otherwise you would really see everything. So floor-to-ceiling windows are out of the question on that side, plus you still need space for the furniture. I like floor-to-ceiling windows because of the nice view into the garden, but ONLY as long as not everyone can look into the house. I think you simply have to find a certain balance and not just install floor-to-ceiling windows wildly. And I also notice the trend of anthracite windows + matching roof and I’m basically tired of it... somehow so many new houses just look the same. But well, whoever likes it should do it. For me, it wouldn’t be anything.

Floor-to-ceiling, almost not. Only at the terrace exit living room. Otherwise not. Worth it. The house stays nicely cool in the sun. Disadvantage: None. K.
